We were told Chantey Flats parking lot was closed so we took Mt Wilson trail.

Went with by best friend, the one who got me into this, and a truly dear friend. No mater where I go it is fun with these two.

I read so many stories about bugs, had no problem. Could not have asked for better weather. Above says “Trail Conditions” Not sure you can have a peak trail that does not have obstacles. Poisonous Oak below and above Orchard Camp. It helps you remember to keep on the trail. I am told a plant at the top acts like stinging Nettle. A ten foot part of the trail sort of went away (See attached photo) Keeps the mountain bikers working their arms, They must carry the bikes over this.

Ran into a couple at Wilson Creek trail crossing “The Bench”. They told us they are doing something called a Six pack of peaks challenge. We talked a little before heading on. For some reason this made it a little more fun and makes me think that Jeff is doing a really great thing here.
