Beautiful hike up Black Butte from the lower trailhead. My third time up for 2022. The wildflowers are not out yet, and there is still a section of snow (~1/4 mile from the summit) but it’s melting fast.
We started at 7:30 and saw hardly anyon on the way up, but a continuous flow of hikers on the way back down. The lesson? Start early.
