Such a fun day on the mountain! Started in the dark around 5am. Only ones on trail until way down. Logged 10.2 miles. Used microspikes all the way until the last .5/mile, switched to snowshoes then. Solid sheet of ice under snow dusting, definitely don’t attempt soon without some sort of traction. Major post holing on the NW side at the top. The wind was brutal. One of my favorite trails in Central Oregon. Whoop whoop!
