This is a hike I did in early January before it was added as an alternate peak in this year's list. I was looking for a good place to hike after the (then) recent storms of late December/early January, and one big thing Rancho San Antonio Preserve had going for it was…unlike many other parks and preserves, it was open, with no trail restrictions. At the time, there were 3-4 spots in which trees had fallen across the trail, but nothing than couldn't be bypassed with a little effort (I don't know if that's still true now, as I write this in early February). Anyway, it was a cloudy day, so the views weren't as nice and clear at the top as I've seen previously, but the cooler temps made for a nice day of hiking.
