The hike started out beautiful along the creek leading up to Sturtevant Falls. We hiked directly up to the Falls and realized we did miss the turn off just prior to that to stay on the trail. Such beautiful views as we started to climb. We had tons of bug spray on but it wasn’t quite enough to fight those buggers off. Enjoyed seeing  Mount Wilson And would love to visit again when they are open.  Sometimes crossing the creek we would lose the trail but quickly found it again even with our map. Still learning. All said and done we put in a couple extra miles topping it off at 16 due to some extra scrambling. It was the longest hike in mileage that I’ve done yet so my feet were definitely feeling it. Loved all the shade on the trails as we did hike on a warm day.
