2/28/2021. Chilly & windy for the most part, however, the bright sunshine with clear blue skies made the hike much, much bearable & enjoyable. Layering as to your comfort level. The views of the mountain ranges, valleys, meadows, the tall trees & the lush greeneries were breathtaking & picturesque…easily becoming one of my favorite hikes. Quite a few steep sections. Just take a breather & you'll be fine. There were few patches of light snow on the trail but walkable. Gate opens around 0800. Entrance fee of $10/person. The gate keeper was polite. Hike length: less than 6 hours including frequent stops for photo shoots, snacks & rest.
