Fantastic hike today with a handful SoCal Hikers and Hike Beyond the Hills Misfits doing the Climb for Heroes. Due to the reboot, it wasn't as crowded as previous years. We stepped off just after 0800 and finished the hike just after 14:30. 6hrs 31min on the trail. The route up and down the Backbone Trail was in pretty good condition. We couldn't have asked for better weather. Temps at the start were cool and mild. The peak was perfect. The descent got a little warm, but not too bad. Probably around the low 80's.

Today was my 6th peak of the original Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge; and, my 12th of the 12 peaks. I'm excited to say that today's finish of the challenge was my 4th year in a row doing the Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge and my second year completing all 12 peaks. Earned the Legacy Hiker. 🙂
