Solid hike for my first of the 6 Pack.  Took us 8 hours to do the 19 miles from the toll road below Heniger Flats.  Was raining most of the way up.  After we reached the junction with the mt Wilson trail, it became much colder.  I'd say the temp dropped 10-20 degrees from that point to the Cosmic Cafe.  A light dusting of snow became 2-4 inches of wet slippery slush.  Cosmic Cafe was closed, but we slammed down some calories, did a gear check, added a layer or two, and headed down.  The rain moved out and the view became what we all look for on our hikes.  Rainbow, clouds, sun, ocean view, absolutely clear sky, and the view of our beautiful city.
