I am so happy we bagged this peak. It has been one that has been causing me anxiety. We took the fire road/Devil's Backbone route on the way up. I was terrified of the Devil's Backbone (still am). Being  afraid of heights made this very challenging for me. Honestly, I'm sure for many this is just another hike but that portion definitely took some mental grit on my part. The trail was obviously incredibly steep on the last bit to the summit but with a few breaks, it was definitely manageable. The way down was steep. My friends used poles but with a little side shuffling I was good to go. We lost a phone on the way down and some awesome guys found and returned it to us. By far the most mentally taxing hike we've bagged so far. But this was our 6th one and now we're going to bag 6 more!
