What a beautiful hike! Now I see why this is usually in everyone's list of favorites. The views were spectacular and the surroundings were beautiful. It was so nice to see mature pines.
The only downside was the trail damage from people who hiked too soon after recent rains. Their deeply rutted mud tracks are now solidified across the trail like dried concrete.
