Trail going up was pretty shaded, which was great because it was a scorcher of a day. In the beginning it wasn't covered for about 30 mins and my dog kept taking breaks. I thought we were going to have to forfeit the hike. Soon enough we hit some woods. Met some fun by passers, talking about a bear that was shot there many years back? Few different cut off points. The lower loops look fun to run around for next time. Lots of other solo hikers, routing each other on. Surprised to see the cosmic cafe up at the top. I had prepared a lunch, but when I got to the cafe, I wanted a sandwich just for fun. Beautiful view. Not too crowded. Surprised to see that cars could go to the top. Chilled out at the top for a bit longer than expected and then walked down. Probably 2 hours down in he dark but the moon was quite bright and the LA lights? were pretty bright, so I didn't need to pull out my headlamp at all. Nice and relaxing. Got my heart rate going when it was hot, but otherwise, it was super chill. Few steep ledges, but I just faed the wall and was careful.
