Cowabunga Cucamonga!

Started the hike in the dark at 5:07 am. Cool and clear. Raced the sun up to Icehouse Saddle. Scrambled along sections of loose gravel through the final 2 mile push to the peak, and summitted at 8:06 am. I was only the second day-hiker to summit this morning. Spent an hour at the summit walking around, chatting with other hikers as they arrived, taking photos, and eating my breakfast. A speedy trip back down the (now bustling) trail had me back at my car at 11:44 am. Unfortunately, my watch died just after 9 miles into the hike, so I only have data for the first 3/4 of the trip.
