Cucamonga Peak was a big step up from Mt.Wilson. It was pretty steep all the way up. I bought some hiking sticks after Mt.Wilson and they were a lifesaver going up Cucamonga! The signs on the trail were a little difficult to follow/there were some points on the trail where there weren’t any markers for directions. Luckily we ran into some helpful hikers who showed us the way to the top. They recommended that we download the “All Trails” app to carry a map with us so we don’t get lost. Cucamonga didn’t have as much shade as Mt.Wilson so it got really hot towards the end. But the view at the top was so worth it! One of my favorite summits so far. In total this hike was 13.4 miles and took us 7 hours. We’re still baby hikers but enjoying all the views and friendly faces along the way!
