Read reports of the parking lot getting crowded by 5:15am. Got there at 5:30am and got one of the last parking spots.

Day user permit: Luckily, I had a spare blank permit from last year. No permits at the trailhead box.

I started at 6am and summited at 9:50am at a relaxing pace. On the way down, I stopped to talk to hikers coming up…Got warm really fast… If you start later in the morning, I recommend having min of 3L of water! Many people had no sunscreen or hats!

The summit sign says: 8859ft while the peakbagger website lists: 8862 https://www.peakbagger.com/peak.aspx?pid=1364

The peakbagger site uses  NAVD88 elevation….
