Busy trail!

We knew better than to hike a Saturday but schedules as they are, we did.  We got to the trailhead at 6:08 and it was packed! Had to park .35 miles down the road (why yes, I did measure it).

Turns out there was a hiking group of about 50 people doing a multi peak challenge. And kudos to them, we did a single peak and were rather impressed by their efforts!

Despite how full the trail was, we didnt feel too crowded. We played leap frog with a couple of hiking groups up and down. The top was pretty full but lively and the crowd was fun to people watch.

Just a reminder to fellow sixpackers, please please please pack out your trash. It's a privelage to hike these trails and we need to leave them better than we found them. Dont leave your dog poop bags with intent to “get them later”. People always forget and they're all over the trail. Be aware of tissues in your pockets and trash in side packs of backpacks.  Imagine if we all brought out 2 extra pieces of trash every trail. Mother Nature would be proud to call us her hikers 🙂
