Sorry, better late than never post. We did this hike about 3 weeks ago!!!
We had been debating on whether to go or not and so glad we did. We ended up having a beautiful day….clear skies and no wind at the summit. We did have snow and had agreed beforehand we would turn around if snow was bad. Once on the trail, it was not anything that we felt we couldn't get through with just our trekking poles. The trail was very busy, especially on the way down, which seemed liked the longest 2 miles ever!!! We were very happy to finally see the parking lot!!! Glad we did this one when we did because some of the pictures just days after looked pretty snowy, windy and cold. Hoping to hit San Bernardino soon!!!
