Wow! This one hurt. The ice and snow on the final ascent had me crawling up the mountain: driving in the ice axe and kicking foot holds with my crampons. It was a humbling day on the mountain – which is a part of the reason I love them.

Trail is pretty accessible to the saddle, where the snow becomes more regular. I took the trail around Big Horn, but from the second saddle there is no trail, just up the ice and snow. Crampons, ice axe, and experience required!
