Trail on the lower portion of the hike from the trailhead to Icehouse Saddle was easier to locate due to the number of users on that portion since the last snow. The upper portion of the trail from Icehouse Saddle to Cucamonga Peak was very challenging to locate at times. Had to double back a couple times. Following footprints in the snow from other hikers was helpful. Brought snowshoes, and used them at times, but they were not necessary. However, microspikes and polls were well worth it.
