The hike went pretty well up to Icehouse Saddle, where we split off onto the Cucamonga Peak trail. From there, small parts of the path were covered with ice and snow. The terrain was slippery at times, and we often lost sight of the trail and had to double back or cut to another section.
The weather was surprisingly nice, especially for June. Most of the trail was also shaded, and while the snow was annoying to traverse through, it was very comfortable to lay in. Peak weather was windy, but not cold.
All in all, the trip was pretty fun. We weren't prepared for so much snow, but everything worked out in the end.
