Starting from the beginning of the hike there were so many little gnat flies that were very annoying. It was almost too difficult to enjoy the trail because anytime I stopped to look around the flies would swarm. Because of this it kept us moving. As we got closer to the top the flies got less so that was good. It was great to see so many other people out on the trail for it being a Wednesday. Although after the saddle the people thinned out and there were only two other couples at the peak.  This was an awesome peak that I had been looking forward to doing and it did not disappoint! Maybe someday I won't be so scared to stand on that rock at the peak. I was terrified but I did it. The way back down was a bit of a run to get through the gnats. I learned from this that mosquito nets are a must to have on hand in our backpack.
