Perfect fall day to hike the trial! I prefer hiking in the fall/winter in southern California to the summer and spring due to lack of trees for shade. This hike was nice because there are larger Pine trees along the fire road and the trails while your on the way up.
The hike felt longer than I expected, maybe because this was the only one I hiked alone in a long while.
