This hike was great! I went on 3/36/22 and the weather could not have been more perfect. I was solo and started around 9 AM. Trail conditions were nice; I did the Azalea Loop trailhead to the peak and went counter-clockwise. Hardly saw anybody going up the peak, not until the last half mile or so. Took the fire road post-peak to finish the loop. In total, the loop that leads up to the peak is exactly 7.7 miles. I did not find this trail difficult, but I could see how it would be with snow. I beep-bopped around to random trails that still lead me to my final destination in order to do an even 8 miles. I use AllTrails, and there it is listed as a moderate hike. I believe this might be because of the near 8-mile distance, not of the actual difficulty. Looking forward to the next 5 peaks!
