Running on 2 hours sleep I met ups with my usual suspects of our peak climbing crew. Started early on the trail by 6:15 am. As we hit the saddle one of the ninjas decided we should hit Big Horn. All in agreement we headed on up. As we got off the shaded trail parts, the sun was up holding the law laying the heat down upon us. Passing through the gauntlet of bees was fun and stings were minimal. We all hit the Big Horn summit had some snacky cakes and moved on to Ontario. Weather was nice and clear did I mention it was hot? Thermostat was definitely stuck on broil but we muscled on. Passing through a few more bee gauntlets ( again minimal sting) we reached the summit of Ontario Peak. The views were nice and spent some time taking the obligatory we reached the peak pictures! Ate some more snack and hydrated and headed down. Reaching the bottom I personally felt like someone had been smashing my feet with hammers and sticking my thighs and calves with hot pokers! But all was good in the world and it was a another great day with friends
