Endless Switchbacks

Trailhead:

Vincent Gap

Type of Hike:

Day hike

Trail Conditions:

Trail in good condition

ROAD:

Road suitable for all vehicles

Bugs:

Bugs were not too bad

Snow:

Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

The trail was nice and easy to follow.
We did cut a few switchbacks and use the short cut. They were steep.

It is a popular trail. We saw people on the trail training for Mt Whitney; A group training for John Muir; A few Boy Scout groups; and a PCT group going to Canada.

Great view up at the summit.

  1. Hi Jenny. Wow! I hiked Mount-Baden Powell that very same day on May 14, 2022. I do remember seeing the PCT group up at the summit. Do you remember the two drones that were flying above the summit for a photo shoot for two women hikers? I do have the videos.

      1. Hi Jenny
I started my hike at 9:00 am. I reached the summit at 11:30 am. At around 12:30 pm is when the drones were flying above the summit. It was a cool seeing two drones flying above the summit.
