This was a beautiful hike with stream crossings, small waterfalls and the sound of running water through most of the beginning portion. The climb up was gradual until the end, where there is a short steep portion leading up to the saddle. The views were stunning!
There are about 3 miles or so of dirt road leading up to the trailhead with many potholes and a few water crossings. I would recommend going with a higher clearance vehicle after a rainy day. We were there a week after the last rainfall, but the water was still flowing across the road in sections.
Gorgeous hike and worth the bumpy road to get there!
