Fall is definitely in the air. It was a cool and overcast day but the leaves of fall made it all worth it. The road is suitable for any vehicle and they do require a national forest recreational pass. The internet is good if you need to purchase it at the trailhead. There was a bathroom at the trailhead too. It was fine for my needs but my wife was a bit grossed out and it was out of TP. The trail is in great shape. Very well maintained and easy to follow. A bit swampy at parts but we managed to keep our feet dry. The view was nonexistent because of the clouds but we did get entertained by an overly friendly chipmunk that wouldn’t stop climbing on us. Alltrails is off a bit. I had it at 10miles and 5k in elevation gain.

Congratulations on the summit, Matthew! I had the same experience when I climbed Granite — completely socked in and zero views. But it was still pretty cool, and I managed to fill about 1/2 of my Nalgene with huckleberries, so there’s that. 😉
