My friend and I started the hike at 6:30 am and arrived to the top at about 1:00 pm. The weather was beautiful and on our favor. We did not encounter any hikers until later in the day. They were all very friendly, but not many. The beginning of the trail was an amazing introduction and gave us a flavor of quite a few beautiful waterfalls. Passed the very first water fall the terrain was rough and steep but not too bad to maneuver with the help of the roots of the trees that were sticking out of the ground like giving us hand. We were able to use those roots to pull ourselves up to the trail which was narrow at times. The best part was that most of the trail was shaded. We really loved that. I feel that the taste of beautiful nature and breath taking views of the trail helped us to keep going till the end. Three miles before you reach the top you will come to Sturtevant Camp which was established 1893 and it is still in use. Reaching the top was an exhilarating and accomplishing feeling that I will forever keep in my mind.
