Honestly, I liked and hated this hike at the same time. I liked that I was going to be done with the challenge, but I hated the hike down Ice Canyon- it beat the crap out of me. The hike up was pretty. We saw 10 other hikers up to the saddle then they all either turned around or headed to Cucamonga Peak. I enjoyed having the trail to ourselves. Overall, my hiking partner and I didn't do the hardest peaks. In fact, We did most of the alternates. The drive to the peaks is at best easy in the morning, but after a long hike, the commute through LA traffic to our homes in Ventura was something we knew we needed to avoid. Thanks, Jeff for putting up the challenge, and the alternates. We will see what we decide to do next year.
