Conditions were beautiful on SG conquest day. It was my 1st time and I had wanted to summit San Gorgonio for more than 10 years. Really no problems with the hike at all and only drank 2 liters of water because I had a leak in my 2 liter bladder and shared one of the 2 extra liters of water with my hiking partner. I did have a water filter but knew with the beautiful weather conditions I could make it back to the Jeep where water and electrolytes were waiting. The wind was howling at the peak but I was comfortable with long and short sleeves shirts and a thin water resistant wind breaker. The only wild life I encountered were the chipmunks near/at the summit.
