First time backpacking and had minimal sleep! Lol. Some downed tress but only one was huge and blocked the path. We had to walk along the log and walked over it coming back. Trail close to high camp had water flowing. Waterproof boots recommended. There was plenty of water along the creek.
Weather was warm at exposed areas. So windy at the peak and at high camp. Cold at night! overall, a great experience. Beautiful trail!

Nice! I’ve done the same trip, camping overnight at High Creek. We summited in the morning then hiked out.
I think that it was the best way to do it.
San Jacinto next! Any recommendation on where to camp?
