Due to the parking lot at the main trailhead full, I parked at the Saguaro Trailhead connecting to the Freedom Trail (Trail 302) which added about 0.57 of a mile one-way to the hike. The day was cloudy but it did not rain. The weather was cool enough. Lots of hikers were on the trail and some of them I found out were first timers when I asked them. I first scrambled up the true summit with the benchmark and stayed there for about 30-40 minutes before scrambling back down and headed to the other summit. Most of the hikers who hiked today were in the lower summit. I headed down shortly later, and there were still hikers headed up despite being late in the day, presumably for a sunset summit. The descent back was uneventful and relaxing.
