This was my first ever solo hike. I went on a Sunday thinking there would be plenty of other hikers on the trail, but there weren’t very many at all, maybe 15 total. I started out at 8am, and quickly realized I should have started much earlier as it was very warm. Most of the trail was shaded, and there was a small breezy every once in a while. It’s very quiet, and beautiful. The trail is very well kept, and wide enough for a bike to pass you without having to step off the trail. Overall, I truly enjoyed this hike, and will definitely do it again.

Mt. Umunhum is underrated for sure! I usually don’t like hikes where people can drive to the summit, but this one is worth it in my opinion! You got lucky that there weren’t that many others on the trail, it was usually pretty crowded when I would go!
