First time hiking this undersold part of the Superstition Mountains. Conditions were great. Chilly, but warm in the sun especially when moving. No wind and clear skies. Practiced carrying my 18 bag for my upcoming hike to summit Mt. Wheeler. Accidentally went off trail twice. Route was difficult to follow since it was mostly boulders. Had a glorious turkey bagel sandwich at the top. Food always tastes better on a peak!
