An absolutely perfect day to be in the Superstitions, beautiful sunny day with just enough cool breeze. The hike starts like most in the desert, a bit rocky as you gradually ascend toward the peak, then it's a scramble up and a scramble down. I wondered why I saw people with gloves, but by the return I was thinking gloves would be nice. Lots of hand contact with rocks and some use of trees to get you where you need to be. I wouldnt say gloves are a necessity though. The views are incredible! Id recommend going early in the day and avoiding weekends if you can.
