For driving efficiency, we started this hike in the middle, at Pantoll Station, descended to and then on the famous Dipsea Trail, then returned back up the beautiful Steep Ravine Trail.  From there, we went up the Old Mine Trail to the Mountain Theater and then along the Rock Springs Trail to the Westpoint Inn.  From there, we shared the trail with a group of 100 middle school kids from Santa Barbara on a mountain biking week-long adventure as we continued up the Old Railroad Grade to the Summit where we took a lap on the Verna Dunshe Memorial trail to take in the full panoramic views before heading to the tip top for lunch.  Lots of beautiful wildflowers out and most of the views were great, except towards the ocean which was socked in with fog – a view in its own right.  It was great to have along a couple guests for this one!
