The journey to Freemont saddle is along a well maintained trail. It's elevation gain is consistently about the same the whole way up, not many flats spots just unrelenting elevation gain. Once at the saddle you are rewarded with views of weavers Needle to the north and a nice desert canyon to the south. If you want to add to it you can hike out to lone tree. Some nice boulders to play on at the saddle if that's your thing.
