Happy Earth Day and a beautiful day to complete the winter challenge. Started at 630am and trail not crowded, not too warm, hikes mostly in the shade for the majority until the sun rise higher in the sky. Lots of bugs near the areas of water, and on the way out we passed 2 separate men that warned us where on the trail they saw a rattlesnake and sure enough, right at the mile mark they told us, we heard the rattlesnake sounding off, was pretty scary because he was in the bushes so we had no idea where he was but we just kept walking through and had no issues. Had almost no shade on the way out and the temperate was rising pretty quickly, bring lots of water and stay safe!
