Wow, Arizona’s heating up! Biggest challenge on this hike was the heat. I started at 8am and it was 69 degrees but felt much warmer. When I got to the saddle, it was 82 degrees. I should have started earlier! This was a pretty well established trail. The last mile is where you get the climb, and the heat makes it that much harder. The view from the saddle of the Superstition Wilderness and Weaver’s Needle was pretty spectacular, though.
