Stayed the night at as round valley was full Tamarack Campsite. We did it as a walkup but the ranger said this is likely going to be the last weekend that is a possibility. These sites are very remote but great if you can find them. HIGHLY recommend gps to find them. Trails are terribly marked at Tamarac. Woke up to frozen water. Had I put it in my backpack it would have been fine but I forgot.
San Jacinto is my fourth peak and favorite so far. Beautiful views and trail is well maintained.
