This is a great trail, a good workout, but not too strenuous. The scenery is beautiful throughout the climb, but especially so when you reach the saddle. Weavers Needle is more amazing in person than in photos. I did a short side hike which added about 1 more mile of distance, which is why I covered 6 miles rather than 5-ish. The majority of Peralta Road, leading to the TH, is unpaved and in pretty good condition. The worst part of this road is the washboard surface which covers virtually the entire 6 miles to the TH.
