Hiked 20 miles including Cuyamaca Peak with the Make-A-Wish Trailblaze team on 4/20/24. Parked at the Harvey Moore Trailhead turnout off the CA-79 in the Cuyamaca Rancho State Park. Westside Trail to start. We did a big loop and conquered the peak in the first third of the hike. We had to walk through a very wet and very rocky brook/trail for several miles. Passed through Paso Pichaco Campground around mile 14 or so which was a nice time to use an actual bathroom. It was a very hot day and a ton of bugs especially near the peak. Some tiny spots of snow near the peak as well. Beautiful, but steep, long and technical hike!
