I decided to host a hike for the Girls Who Hike NorCal Group and 12 hikers joined so it’s was a little struggle for all of us to find parking. A few groups returned just after 10a and most of us were able to get a parking spot. A couple girls started at the summit and did the hike in reverse, meeting us on the trail both times.
The weather was a little warm with a mellow breeze and it’s great that most of the trail is shaded. We hiked at a mellow pace and everyone was surprised about the gradual incline.
We hung out at the summit for a bit and read about the cool history of the tower. I’ve been here a few times but it was great to bring others who have never hiked this hike before.
We ran into a couple on the trail wearing their Six Pack of Peaks shirts and found out this is their first time doing the challenge too They also said a lot of people chatted to them about the challenge because of the shirts, so now I definitely wed to order one We also had two girls run after us to see if we were a hiking group they can join because we looked like we were having so much fun!
The girls can’t wait for the next hike and I’m lucky most were able to drive from long distances to join.
