We met a fellow hiker on the way up who said he was going for the record of slowest ascent ever and I had to take that with me. This hike was epic, but definitely not doing it again anytime soon. The last half mile was extremely strenuous. After hiking for 5 hours, you climb rocks to get to the peak. This was my first of the six, and I'm glad I went with one of the hardest to knock it out. Weather was great! Most of the hike was shaded so sun felt great at the peak. I feel amazingly sore and accomplished at the same time. It took us 5 1/2 hours up (with breaks), 4 hours down, with an hour spent at the peak.
