One of the best days I ever felt for hiking. Was told that was going to be thunder storms at 10am but nothing but blue skies. I hate how weather reports do get it wrong a lot but still it’s always good to be prepared.
I would say if you’re limited on time and have to choose one 14er in this area to do, I highly suggest this peak even over Bierstadt. Also because you can easily bag Torrey’s which I suggest you do if you have the time. Hiking through the valley in this area makes the hard hiking so worth it just for the views!
And if you see mountain goats, try not to run up on them accidentally. That could have gone bad.

Great shots of the mountain goats, @chris-mcmillen! Did you run into any snow fields as you neared the top, or was the trail clear?
No snow fields for Grays Peak and looking over at Torrey’s no snow fields over there either, at least not on the trail.
Also, I actually hiked this on the 18th and not the 19th
