At this moment, we were the tallest things in Southern California!! (Yes, I know, cheezy).
Most of us slept at the trailhead in our cars. I was one of them. I worked Saturday, but I went straight to the trailhead once out and attempted to nap before we began journey at 12AM. Yes, you read that correctly, 12AM!!
With only 3 hours of sleep, I tackled this beast of a peak. We cried, we laughed, we shared happy stories, sappy stories and all in between… but we made it to the top and continously encouraged each other to not give up.. this is what we trained for.
