This trail was a relentless amount of strictly upward with not a lot of technical skill needed but a true butt kicking, for sure. This is the third of my six mountains for this challenge, which makes me proud, but the actual hike itself wasn't super pretty (minus a few times with a crossing stream with little waterfalls) and the top was all paved and built up. It also seemed like such a minimal view for the amount of work it took to get there. But the trail was very clean and super easy to follow.

I agree with you. I always favor more “wild” mountains. But Greylock is the highest natural point in Massachusetts, and there are more than a few “high pointers” who have this on their list. So it’s on ours, too.
Which peaks are you planning for the other three?
