After climbing Charleston yesterday, I camped out just about a mile and a half from Griffith.  Of course, it had to snow on me in the middle of the night.  But I was able to pack up and make it the short distance to Griffith.  From this direction  it was only about a mile and a half from my camp.  I dropped my pack and made it the short distance to the top which was in the clouds so not much of a view.  But the LV challenge was complete! No for the long journey down. Which I was not complaining about, I was amazed at the people I saw walking or running up.  As I was walling down in the beauty of the fall colors, I reflected on my last three days. It's always amazing to live a few days without all the comforts of the modern world.  Where you have everything to survive on your back. But now each step was bring me back to all the comforts of the modern world, where I can drive 500 miles in a day, where it took me 3 days to walk less that 20!

Although, my final peak was somewhat anti-climatic…it was an ending to many challenges this hiking trip brought my way.  From getting lost, and surviving a night on the mountain without the proper gear to being snowed on in Las Vegas. This trip will definitely find its way into many of my hiking lore for years to come.

Thanks again to all the Social Hikers.   Can wait to see what challenges will come next.
