My girlfriend and I tackled our 3rd peak today (did two peaks this weekend!)! This was our second time hiking this peak so we were already familiar with the area and amenities. $10 to park and restrooms located by the parking lot. We took the Lookout Road route to make this and out-and-back hike/trail run. The trail was completely covered in snow (start to finish) but micro spikes and trekking poles were not needed. Once again, we wore our trail runners and hydration packs. It's a very straightforward hike and may seem easy at first, but it's not to be underestimated! More than 1,500′ of elevation gain in the 2.7 mile hike to the summit. It was cold on the trail and at the top, but bearable. Not much foot traffic as most of the people that parked in the lot went to Stonewall Peak. A little over an hour to summit and less than an hour back to the car. Beautiful view!
