Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

The first 2 miles are the worst and from there it’s pretty smooth sailing.  I brought along a friend who had not ever done a mountain hike like this.  He struggled a bit but completed it.  Overall slowed down my time but he was so happy with completing it that it was well worth it.
