Hi, everyone. Well, I did it! I completed my 6th peak of the challenge. High Point. It's a perfect name. Like someone else I read in his summary, regarding this trail, the bugs certainly were annoying. Although, they tended to fly in my face and sometimes on my body whenever I was in Forest areas. In the wide opening, they seldom came around. For all the miles, I enjoyed the multiple mountain ranges and discovering how as I went higher, the deep canyons and land eventually joined up. The changes in the Rock formations, plants, and trails were intriguing. No deers seen like at Hot Springs, but that's alright. As always, the views of the campground and mountains were wonderful. Sorry that I'm a loss for words like adjectives describing the trail. I really did like it. I guess the heat from yesterday made people think twice before coming over, but the small size of groups showing up was great. Easy for me going up and back down. It has been a pleasure participating in the SD 6-pack of Peaks Challenge.
